Cairndhu wins main event
Pune: Cairndhu, ridden by P. Belose, won the Ganga Melrose Million, the stellar attraction of the races held here on Sunday (Sept. 2). The winner is owned by Mr. Dilip Thomas, Mr. Jaydev M. Mody rep. J.M. Livestock P. Ltd & Mr. K.J. Ramaswamy. Bezan Chenoy trains the winner.
Note: In the seventh race the Mango Blossom Plate Quo Iboe (Appu astride) broke his right foreleg during the race near 200m and fell down. Jockey Appu escaped unhurt. Quo Iboe was put to sleep on humanitariangrounds.
