Odds at Race Time: Dynamic Cat 12/10 Victor Ivanov 4-1 Amberogio 6-1
As they settle down Pacific Zone led from Victor Ivanov, Amberogio two behind Dynamic Cat and the rest. As they came to view Pacfic Zone still had two lengths lead over Amberogio and Victor Ivanov with Dynamic Cat making his bid on the outside. Amberogio took over for a while to surrender lead to Dynamic Cat who came well to take over and won. Pacific Zone finished a close third ahead of Dragonair putting in nice run to finish four lengths behind fourth.

VICTOR IVANOV (C.Rajendra) was reluctant to be stalled. Tr.P.Shroff has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
DRAGONAIR (App. D. K. Ashish) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Trainer P. Shroff and Jockey C.Rajendra were questioned regarding the poor performance of VICTOR IVANOV. Trainer P. Shroff stated that he had given the horse a place chance but the horse had not responded to the Jockey’s urgings as expected. Jockey C Rajendra seconded the opinion of the Trainer and opined that the horse has limited ability. The explanation tendered by the Trainer and Jockey was noted and the Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding for any abnormality, who reported that no abnormality was detected.
Jockey Sunny Chinoy (AMBEROGIO) reported that his mount was inclined to lug out in the straight and the jockey used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit as a corrective measure. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

Odds at Race Time: Tullamore 5/2 ohers at 5-1 & over. Hymns Angel lost few lengths at the jump.
Artillery end the field from Tullamore, Arabian Guest, Phi, Grey Storm, Khobsoorat and the rest. at the top of the straight , Artillery led by two from Tullamore Coming up and further three behind Arabian Guest, Vanilla Sky, Grey Storm , Phi and the rest. Artillery shifted out of the course little but held on to win from Tullamore, Phi & Grey Storm.

HYMN’S ANGEL (App.A.M.Tograllu) reared up and fly jumped, losing about 8 lengths at the start. Considering this and the mare’s similar behaviour in her previous start, Tr.Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock race, before next accepting to race.
Trainer Faisal A. Abbas was questioned regarding the improved performance of ARTILLERY. The Trainer stated that he had asked Apprentice Nadeem Alam to allow the horse to race freely and not to gag him, to hit the front if he could and if someone hits the front then to sit well up. The Trainer explained that he has been trying different tactics to try and win a race with this horse, including changing equipment and the bit. He said that the horse has been finishing close to the winner but has not been able to win a race. In its previous run, the horse had finished about 3 ¼ lengths behind the winner despite being placed 8th in the race. He added that he had claimed an allowance for the first time this season and the luck of the race went in his favour. He added that he had not fancied the horse and the horse was available at 8/1. The explanation tendered by the Trainer was noted.
On questioning, Trainer H.J. Antia explained that TULLAMORE was sluggish after the start, despite Jockey’s effort and the Jockey had ridden out the horse in the straight. He said that he took no exception to the Jockeys riding. The previous races of TULLAMORE were viewed and it was observed that the horse has been sluggish in the early part, in those races. As such, the explanation tendered by Trainer H.J.Antia was noted and the Sr. VO was requested to examine the gelding, who reported that no abnormality was detected.
Jockey S.P.Ranjane (TULLAMORE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
After the race, ARABIAN GUEST and KHUBSOORAT were both observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Sr. V. O reported that TULLAMORE was examined after the race and found to be sound. The gelding had a wolf tooth on either side of his mouth.

Odds at Race Time: Amodomio & Classic both at 7/2 Rest at 6-1.
Jolteon was withdrawn at the starting gates. Astro Boy missed the jump and lost few lengths. Solu led from Classic, ChargingRhino, Arabian Power, Counsela, Amodomio, Tribal warrior, Black Warrior, Item Bomb and the rest. Solu led with Classic closing the gap and took over at 400 to win extending. Arabian Power Finished second ahead of Astro Boy coming from the rear to finish third ahead of Tribal warrior.

On arrival at the Starting Gates, JOLTEON was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O.and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Flames Of Fire led as they came to view from Councilofthegods, Premier Perception, Star Always, Oyster Princess and Englehart now coming up on the wide outside. Councilofthegods took over from Oyster Princess chasing and Englehart coming up with raking strides as they pass the 300m. Englehart took over and won well from Councilofthegods putting in a second run to finish close second ahead of Oyster princess & Ming.

Odds at Race Time: Red Indian 9/4 Mickey Mantle 9/2 Ivanka 6-1 Axiology 7-1.
Wild Temper as usual took over to lead from Siberean Siren, Star Of The Season, Mickey Mantle, Red Indian improving on the far side, with Both Ivanka second last and Simply Smashing last. As they came near the turn Wild Temper led by three from Red Indian coming up, Knight, Ivanka rallying well on the rails and Mickey Mantle and Simply Smashing still two behind on the wide outside. Wild Temper shifted out but still lead by a length from Red Indian not accelerate enough to take over with both Ivanka and Simply Smashing flashing on the scene with raking strides they pass the 200m. Wild Temper just held on from Simply Smashing with red Indian third a head ahead of Ivanka.

Apprentice A. M. Tograllu reported that his mount IVANKA hung out in the last 350mts. Trainer Vinayak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Approaching 200mts, WILD TEMPER (Nadeem Alam) was observed to have shifted out under use of the whip with the Rider making no effort to control the outward movement of his mount and in the process carried RED INDIAN (C Rajendra) outwards and later on forced SIMPLY SMASHING (PS Chouhan) to travel wide. App Nadeem Alam was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.
The Stewards interviewed Jockey Nadeem Alam and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 25th February 2008 to 13th March 2008 (both days inclusive) for careless riding on his mount WILD TEMPER. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).
An enquiry has been initiated into the improved performance of WILD TEMPER and a report will be submitted shortly.

Odds at Race Time: Casual Look 80/100 Clean Sweep 9/2
Sepia Tone called the shots to Clean Sweep two behind Casual Look on the rails and Golden Spurs and Teaser still further behind. Sepia Tone ahead by two as they came to view from Clean Sweep coming up, a length behind Casual Look on the rails as they pass the 400. Clean Sweep on the outside and Sepia Tone in the rails and Casual Look trying to Force a gap through the middle as they pass the 300. Clean Sweep took over and led by a lengths and Casual Look could not get the gap and switched outside and came under whip to loose by a neck to Clean Sweep. Sepia Tone stayed on third ahead of teaser.
Race Reports
An objection was lodged by Jockey Amyn Merchant, rider of CASUAL LOOK (placed 2nd by the judge), against Apprentice Kishore Kadam, rider of CLEAN SWEEP (placed 1st), for coming onto him, bumping him and tightening him for room at the 300 meters from home, by virtue of which he had to check his mount and pull her to the outside and then ride out which cost him a certain race.
The Stewards interviewed the Jockeys concerned and reviewed the video recording of the race (all the angles). Having considered the submissions made in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and having deliberated the matter, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.
Trainer S.K. Sunderji and Jockey Amyn Merchant were questioned regarding the running and riding of CASUAL LOOK. After having heard the submission made by them and viewing the video recording of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Amyn Merchant and resolved :-
a) To suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 25th February 2008 to 6th March 2008 (both days inclusive) for tendering false and misleading evidence before the Stewards during the objection;
b) To further suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 7th March, 2008 to 13th March, 2008 (both days inclusive) for Incompetent riding on his mount. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).
The Sr.V.O. reported that CASUAL LOOK was examined after the race and found to be sound. The filly had a wolf tooth on the right side.
After the race, TEASER was observed to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, CLEAN SWEEP was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind fetlock.

Odds at Race Time: Oasia Star 16/10 Evatina 5-1 others 7-1 and over.
Panpered Princess took over from Agha, Evatina, Rejuvenite, Giacosa, Escravos, Dancing Diva, Enaksi, and three behind Oasia Star on the rails receiving some interference and the others bunched up. Pampered Princess led by two lengths at the top of the straight from Escravos, Rejuvenite, Atmosphere, Oyster Cove, Giocosa, Enaksi and Oasia Star now maneuvering the filed with smooth run gaining places as they pass the 300. Oyster Cove a shade ahead as they pass the 200 with Enaksi coming up, Escravos, Rejuvenite and Oasia Star Coming up with smooth run to take and won with plenty in hand. Enaksi, Oyster Cove & Escravos filled the frame

PERFECT ATTRACTION (C.Alford) jumped out slowly, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Soon after start, GIACOSA (M Narredu) stumbled on her own and in the process of regaining her balance, shifted in and hampered the running of OASIS STAR (Y.S.Srinath). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.
Passing 1100 meters, ESCRAVOS (K.P.G. Appu) shifted out onto DANCING DIVA (C.Rajendra) who in turn shifted onto LADY ONE (Aadesh Kumar) who went onto AVEC PLAISIR (Sunny Chinoy). Jockey K.P.G. Appu has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over mount.
Traveling some distance further, AGHA (I.Shaikh) slowed down and shifted inwards whereby DANCING DIVA (C.Rajendra) who was racing behind AGHA, shifted out and at the same time PAMPERED PRINCESS (Dashrath Singh) had commenced to shift in and caused REJUVENITE (Daniel M.Grant) to shift-in, who in turn forced AVEC PLAISIR (Sunny Chinoy) to shift in on to LADY ONE (Aadesh Kumar). Due to the convergence of DANCING DIVA and AVEC PLASIR, LADY ONE was squeezed out and dropped back and was unbalanced and in the process shifted in, causing interference to OASIS STAR (Y.S. Srinath). Jockeys I Shaikh and Dashrath Singh have been fined Rs.2000/- each.
Near 800 meters, ATMOSPHERE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and forced REJUVENITE (Daniel M Grant) to shift in, which resulted in DANCING DIVA (C Rajendra) being tightened on to ESCRAVOS (K.P.G.Appu) who was checked and this resulted in DANCING DIVA being squeezed out. Since Jockey Neeraj Rawal was unavailable for questioning, the enquiry into the incident has been deferred.
After the race, ENAKSI was observed to have an abrasion on her left hind pastern.
PAMPERED PRINCESS (Dashrath Singh) was placed fifth and EVATINA (T.S.Jodha) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

Liverpool led them all chased by Golden Rock, La Joie De Vie, Great Heart, Celtic Charm on the rails three behind Il Divo and the rest. Loverpool led at the top of the straight from Cyclades, Celtic Charm looking for opening in the rails, la Joie De Vie, Il Divo coming on the far side. Celtic Charm shot ahead through the gap was chased by Il Divo coming up with raking strides. Celtic Charm held on well from Il Divo ahead of Cyclades & La Joie De Vie.

Odds at Race Time: Adallia 2-1 Xiamen 5-1 Others at 6-1 and over.
San Jose and Black Hussar lost some ground at the start. As they settle down all were bunched up with Xiamen, Hawkeye, Czech, Adaliia, Kalpavruksha, Socaroro and the rest. Adallia took over rounding the turn from Kalpavruksha chasing alongside, Xiamen, Socaroro, Czech, Pure Devotion coming on the far side, Hawk Eye, Gusti Egli, Northern Prince and the rest. Kalpavruksha took over from Adallia and was hotly pursued by Pure Devotion as they pass the 200m with Xiamen, Czech, Socaroro, Northern Prince on the outside further behind. Pure Devotion edged out Kalpavruksha Close home to win with Northern Prince coming on the far Out side to finish third and Czech too rallying on for the fourth place.

The gelding was unloaded and examined by the Club Sr.V.O. who certified him fit to race. SAN JOSE (Riyaz Shaikh) jumped out slowly, losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to show his charge NORTHERN PRINCE to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race before next accepting to race and Trainers P.Shroff and Bharat Singh have been asked to give their charges more gate practice and to show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
